Monstar

October 9, 2010

It’s been awhile since I last blogged, partly because there’s some problems with my iPhone wordpress app.. :(
Anyway, since being in Perth, I’ve managed to get my act together… Done some baking and started sewing again… Should start drawing soon..
For now, here’s dotty, the one eye monster…

August 10, 2010

It’s been a while since I did any blogging… I’ve been
busy slacking and building my new home in Perth. (ironic,
huh?) So, let me fill you in on what I’ve been doing over the past
few months. I’ve been freelancing in bannistar and it’s been a
blast working for them. They’re nice people and have given me lots
of opportunities to shine, which I am terribly grateful. They’ve
also given me the opportunity to visit Japan for work and sight
see. So, to commemorate my work trip to Japan, I did a poster for
the office. My design interpretation for my love of soba noodles.
Here goes…いただきます

That’s how I feel this week… eventhough I’ve just received a compliment from my clients. (they liked my packaging design!!)

Anyway, F is for floating cat…

The story of the princess cow will have to wait for a while. There seems to be a bit of a construction issue. But don’t worry, it will be back to moo you away.

I’ve been fortunate to have nothing to do at work…. so I’ve been drawing monsters all morning for the office wall. My bosses think monsters shouldn’t be cute. I back to differ. What do you think?

In the meantime, I have some cute scaring sharing to do…. boo!

My sweet valentine

March 2, 2010

It’s my 4th day at work and I’m thinking of another holiday. We celebrated V day in Mandurah, WA. (stayed in Sebel hotel – the shorter white building) Mandurah is really something, there’s nice marinas, parks and all the beautiful houses by the canal (with boats in their backyards ^_^’) And on weekends, it’s bustling with people, strolling in the park and checking out the weekend market. Kids have the town’s small but prominent amusement park, that holds a ferris wheel which sticks out like a huge lollipop from the other side of the bank. (seems to open only on weekends) It’s really worth the trouble, even for a day.

Sigh. Yes, I am missing Perth amongst others.

Check out the place we’re gonna get as our holiday home! It has a tennis court, a swimming pool and our personal dock to check out the other boats as they sail by. If only we had $6,5 mil to spare. Donations anyone?

Ohoooo… the sweetest thing

Monday is always the toughest day of the week– like a hang over. As a treat, here’s something to sweeten the day. Drop a line to let me know if you enjoyed it. Happy shaking!

Bon Appetit

February 28, 2010

I’ve decided that I’m officially a baker. Yes, the undomesticated me. There is a hidden Julia Child in all of us.

Julia Child has no history with me. I’ve heard of her from way back but she never crossed my path ’til I became a fan of Nora Ephron, who is clearly a fan of the celebrated female chef.

Time passed, and Julia Child was left forgotten in the ocean of my mind until Julie and Julia came along. I fell in love with the movie instantly! The connection was made and that was when I decided to get my act together and learn to cook. (it’s really more of baking)

It’s my second weekend of fun baking. Here it is– Walnut Tart. (meant to be Pecan Tart but Pecan couldn’t be found) Best served with ice cream.
Bon Appetit!
